The Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD) has asked GFI Consulting to work with them to identify unreached language groups throughout the division. With about 1,600 language groups, SSD is second only to the West-Central Africa Division in the number of languages found in its territory. Southern Pacific Division comes in a close third. These three divisions of the Seventh-day Adventist church have about two-thirds of the world's language groups in their territories.

We have just finished most of the field work to collect the needed information to assess the status of Seventh-day Adventist work among all language groups throughout SSD. When this stage of the project is completed we will analyze the information and present it in forms that will make evangelistic strategic planning much easier.

GFI Consulting recently completed identifying unreached language groups for the East-Central Africa Division (ECD). Two-thirds of the language groups in ECD are unreached/least reached. This represents about 100 million people. The progress of SDA work among language groups was also assessed. Thirteen percent of the language groups, respresenting more than 140 million people, are classified as growing.
