What You Need to Know
The Comoros consists of three small islands in the Indian Ocean between Madagascar and Mozambique. Mayotte, while claimed by Comoros, is a French Overseas Territory administered by France. French is the trade language throughout these islands.
Comorians make up most of the population of Comoros, but there are smaller communities of French and Malagasies. Significant populations of Comorians (mainly students) reside in Madagascar, especially in the North.
Comorians and linguistically related people reside on Mayotte where there are no restrictions on evangelism. One SDA church already exists there, probably made up primarily of immigrants.
We invite all readers to join in praying for the Comorian people and that God will raise up a Seventh-day Adventist person or family who will respond to this challenge and opportunity
